You are placing a deposit for a pork share that will be harvested this fall. Once your butcher date is assigned, you will be contacted with the pickup time and location.

Half Pork: For approximately $900, you’ll receive about 70–80 pounds of premium pasture-raised pork. This estimated cost includes the meat ($700) and the butcher’s fee ($200) for cutting and wrapping, and requires a $200 deposit at the time you place your order.

Our pigs are born and raised on pasture and spend their entire lives outdoors with space to roam, root, and express their natural behaviors. They are fed a locally milled, corn and soy-free diet, resulting in rich, flavorful pork raised with care and integrity.

Our Half Pork Share

Our Half Pork Share is designed for households looking to stock their freezer with a variety of premium cuts. Each half hog is processed using our standard cut list. Cut selection may vary slightly, and substitutions may be made at the butcher’s discretion.

Custom cutting is not available for half hog shares.

From Pasture to Plate: How Pricing Works

Pork shares are invoiced based on the actual hanging weight of your specific animal at the time of harvest.

  • Average half pork share: 100–125 lbs hanging weight (weight of the carcass after harvesting)
  •  1/2 Pork price: $7.00 per lb (hanging weight) + Butcher Fees
  • Required deposit: $200 to reserve your share

Your final invoice reflects the true cost of raising, harvesting, and professionally processing high-quality pasture-raised pork.

Typical Butcher Fees (fees set by the butcher, subject to change)

  • Slaughter: $100 per head
  • Cut & wrap: $1.00/lb hanging weight
  • Curing & smoking bacon/ham: $1.50/lb (based on on the weight of the product being smoked)

Pickup & Delivery

Free Pickup Events

We host free pickup events in Albany, Salem, Scio, and Portland. Pickup dates and details will be shared in advance.

Home Delivery

Home delivery is available for a $25 delivery fee and is limited to locations within 5 miles of I-5 from Eugene to Portland. Deliveries beyond this range may be available and will incur additional fees based on distance.

Oregon Meat Co Policies (Please Read Before Ordering)

Deposits & Order Reservations

  • A $200 deposit is required to reserve your pork share.
  • Deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions.
  • Orders are not reserved until the deposit payment has been received.
  • SNAP/EBT cannot be used to place a deposit.

SNAP/EBT Policy

  • SNAP/EBT payments must be completed in person at pickup.
  • SNAP/EBT cannot be used for deposits, delivery fees, or ineligible items.

Final Invoice & Accepted Payment Methods

Final invoices must be paid in full by the scheduled pickup time or delivery day.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • SNAP/EBT (eligible items only, in person)
  • Credit card
  • Venmo (@oregonmeat)
  • Zelle

Credit Card Processing Fee

Final invoices paid by credit card will include a $0.25 per lb processing fee to help offset credit card processing costs.

This fee does not apply to cash, check, SNAP/EBT, Venmo, or Zelle payments.

Pickup, Storage & Late Fees

  • Orders must be picked up during the designated pickup window or on the scheduled delivery day.
  • Meat not picked up on the scheduled day will be placed into cold storage. You will need to make an appointment to pick up your meat from the farm located at 41354 Shindler Bridge Drive, Scio, OR.
  • A $20 per week storage fee will apply to all orders not picked up on the designated day.
  • Storage fees must be paid before product release.
  • Repeated missed pickups may result in loss of future ordering privileges.
